My BonBons

Most entrepreneurs owe their success on their respective business to one reason, and that is through their hobby. One such great story is My BonBons. My friend Ryzlla Marcelo didn't realize that her love for bracelets will bring her and her cousin JV to the long list of small and medium entrepreneurs who are making names and invading the social networking sites like the Instagram.

Ryzzla is known for being so active. She doesn't like to just sit in one corner and do nothing. Whenever we meet and catch things up, she would always share to me her newest discovery like trying zumba, yoga, baking, photography, travel and others. Summer season is the time to hit the beach, but instead Ryzzla think of a hobby and then realize why not do it for business? And that's how exactly My BonBons was born.

With an initial capital of 2,000 pesos, the cousins acquired materials and equipment needed to make arm candies, from then, they research how to make knots, how to make a strong lock, and different styles of bracelets. From simple charm bracelets to more elegant designs which she calls Keira. She name the different styles to her favorite Hollywood celebrities, like Keira, Kirsten, Katie and Taylor. Since she is using Instagram as her venue to sell her beautiful creations and also send her products to some celebrities. Slowly, many  accessory lovers took notice of My BonBons and orders started to pile up. 

Even though that Ryzzla and her cousin has a full time job, they see to it that they spare enough time to make bracelets and meet the demand of their increasing followers. They accept orders through online but shares that they are scouting bazaars to join to reach out for more customers. With their hard work and passion on this hobby, these two lovely ladies will surely go a long way. For those who love bracelets, follow them on Instagram my_bonbons. 1st Entry for 2013!

First quarter of 2013 have passed already and here I am posting my very first post for 2013. This year started a very busy one for me, maybe that is a good excuse for such delay. Well what is new for me for the past 3 months? Not quite new, it is just a continuation from last year's journey especially with work but the pressure and stress just double up. But what a better way to start a year but staying positive. So let get this straight on what's kept me busy for the past months?

On January of course I celebrated my 28th birthday (yes I am proud to mention that lol ). Nothing much has been done during the month of February ( what Valentine's day? ) then on the month of March we again staged the 1st leg of our annual STV Auto Rally, yes one of our tiring event. Then just last month, came April, I went home to my beloved province to celebrate my mother's 60th birthday, she is now officially member of the 20% discount club. But as she said, age is just a number, what really important is that you age gracefully. I think I have to ponder that. The month of April is quite memorable for me because I got to experience the annual RoadTrek event of Toyota exclusively for motoring journalists. I have been in our company for almost 6 years now and that was been my first. I said memorable because finally I got to ride a plane. Surprising right? And for that I was able to conquer one of my fears, the heights. Second reason why the RoadTrek is special for me is the once in a lifetime chance to fly in an all expenses paid to one of the beautiful destinations in the country today which is the island of Coron in Palawan. A perfect escape from the hustling and bustling life in the metro.

I guess that's all I have to write for now but I will try my best to come back soon. I will really try.
