Shoe Room

I am a self confess shoe lover, specifically flat shoes! With my always on the go type of work, wearing wedge or stilettos would mean "murder" to my feet. Every time I get hold of my payslip and see if I got an extra budget, I always spare some dime for a pair of flat shoes. I always consider comfortable whenever I buy one. It doesn't matter if it exceeded my budget as long as I can walk it without any qualms of ache I go for it. One of my two favorites (affordable and expensive) are Steve Madden (though I don't have a pair yet) and Tomato flat shoes. Steve Madden designs are truly exceptional but a little pricey, while Tomato has a wide array of colors and textures which I found truly comfortable and affordable, perfect for everyday action.

There are lots of flat shoes that are coming out in the market nowadays especially when online stores are popping up in different popular social net working sites but one store caught my attention, The Shoe Room. What really interests me in this newly opened Shoe Room are not my flair for snakeskin materials but it is customized shoes just for the unique you! Upon reading this on its FB site, I contacted its young and pretty owner Abby Medina if it's possible for us to feature it in our show. Both of us were delighted when we set a date for the shoot. Abby welcome us in open arms and cheerfully showed us her variety of collections.

Actually, Abby reveals that she is not new in the shoe business since her family has been in the shoe industry for more than 2 decades now. Marikina, having known as the shoe capital of the country has always been offering quality made shoes not just for the local market but internationally as well. This has been the mantra of his dad's business and exactly what Abby is catering to her customers now that she is making her own brand in the shoe industry. A tourism graduate from College of Saint Benilde, Abby was given a big break from her dad to put up her own business thus Shoe Room was born. According to her, this was a fierce challenge on how to develop her product lines, expand her market, and multiple the investment that her dad had given him. So there's no time for dilly-dolling. She hired skillful people, created her own designs, and after coming up with quiet number of samples, she started taking orders from her customers.

Abby's shoe creations are truly trendy and in style. The colors are vibrant plus the materials are all imported thus not sacrificing the quality. It is meticulously crafted by her skillful workers so every customer could expect a total comfort wearing the shoes all day long. Abby has color charts so you can always mix and match your own design. Her shoe price starts as low as P350 to P420 depends on the style that you want. But believe me, this customize shoes is the most affordable shoes you can ever find.

No doubt, Shoeroom will continue to gain popularity especially to girls and women who simply love shoes! Visit Shoeroom site on Facebook and create your own style and Abby will very much welcome to make it for you. As what she says, "Happy SHOEpping!

Sunday weekend with Azkals

When Monday comes, I always wish it's Friday already. Monday means the start of a "stress week" which I always dread. If any chance we don't have shoot or coverage during weekends, I'd rather stay at home and do my pending chores. But one Sunday was an exception. I didn't dread working on Sunday (which is family day and I always spend it with my nieces and nephews) I could tell I was looking forward to it. My boss sent me to shoot the Kia Cup, one of the major events (and first on its own) of Columbian Auto Car (exclusive distributor of Kia vehicles in the Philippines) together with their partnership with the Philippine Azkals! Now tell me, who wouldn't like to work on Sundays?!

Admit it, most of us are not football fans and yes I am guilty of that. But we go gaga over Azkals because of these hunk and good looking athletes especially with these half Pinoys and half foreign blood players. I  don't exactly understands the rules and regulations of this sport, all I know is that I am one of the hundred fans who scream at the top of their lungs whenever I see my Azkal crush made a goal or the ever hot goalie Neil Etheridge would block a point from their opponent. Even if I had my eyes on these gorgeous players, the 100% Pinoy Chiffy Caligdong is definitely one of my favorites. His football skills is truly an amazing talent. He plays with zest and passion. A perfect example of a good Filipino athlete.

It's truly a pleasure to stand next to Chiffy;)

For the second time that I covered the KIA and Azkal event ( By the way, KIA is the official transport vehicle of Team Azkals) I never see their actual play. It was just a by invitation for media during their contract signing and the recent event was dedicated for some football teams and selected future football wannabes who are so adorable with their jersey's. I even caught a 2 year old boy who was highly spirited that afternoon, his energy is just contagious that even the Azkal players can't help but to play along with him. It is a rare chance to any amateur sporting team to be taught or get some tips from any national team. Azkals are kind enough to spare some precious time from their busy training schedules and commitments to spend an afternoon to these kids. A gratitude also goes to KIA for spearheading this event and for bringing Azkals closer to their supporters.

The Azkals are truly patient with kids:)

Never showed tiredness under the strong heat:)
