Aimee and Tev's Wedding

After our friend Grace's wedding last 2011, I thought I would be counting some years before another in our barkada will tie the knot, but it was just a year breath since the first wedding. Our whole barkada caught us in surprise when our "slow but surely" friend Aimee, broke the news  telling she will be a June bride. Again, we are equally excited to witness the day that Aimee will say "I do" and start her quest to live happily ever after.

Aimee's big day was held last June 30, 2012. As usual, the ever three stooges confirmed to attend and that us as always, Me, Jarvik and Nicole. Our other friends was regretful of not attending because of some inevitable prior schedules they had, however, the 3 stooges are more than happy to represent the whole barkada for Aimee's wedding and I know we made her happy still.

Going to Aimee's wedding in Bulacan was crucial. When I say crucial, it means Jarvik's driving skills and us, her navigators was put into tests. This is the similar incident when Nikki (during her pregnancy stage) had demanded us to go to Batangas and search for beach. We ended up driving the long and winding routes of Batangas just to achieve what she wanted. Same way with our journey going to 8 waves and Mt. Carmel church in San Rafael Bulacan. Though we didn't encounter winding roads, our journey was like trailing a narrow path without knowing where is the end point. After exiting at NLEX it was time to asked directions to some locals who just repeatedly told us that it is still far. They didn't even mention how many kilometers or miles or any figures at all for us to measure our estimated time of arrival. We drove like two hours with rice fields in sight and it started to drizzle. I thought I was going home to my beloved province in Cagayan Valley because of that familiar sightings. And what is crazy about that adventure is that, there are no single sign board or direction of 8 waves. Isn't that helpful at all? We all just wished that the beautiful bride has given us all the directions we needed. Despite being lost in our own version of Amazing Race, it was worth the fun. We had conquered south before, we definitely had conquered the north. All for the love of friendship, all for the love for our dear friend Aimee.

Now, I have to guess who will be next. But one thing is for sure, it will be another fun and meaningful journey. I just wish with my fingers cross that it will not be me just yet :)
